♦ About Tan Son Nhat Airport
Tan Son Nhat International Airport (IATA: SGN, ICAO: VVTS), is the largest airport in Saigon and in Vietnam generally. It is located 4 miles (6 km) north of the center (District 1) of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). Tan Son Nhat International Airport operates from two terminal buildings – Domestic Terminal 1 and International Terminal 2. The new international terminal opened in September 2007 with the capacity of 8 to 10 million passengers per year, giving the airport a total capacity of 15-17 million passengers per year. There are 5 buses from Tan Son Nhat Airport to the major areas of Saigon. There you will easily find information on the bus stations in a separate section: Column No. 4 in front of the National Terminal and Column No. 12 in front of the International Terminal.

Commissioned in January 2017, it is the newest of all and also the first connecting the TSN airport to two major bus stations in Ho Chi Minh City, Mien Dong and Anh Suong. The bus 159 facilitates in particular the passage to the airport and from the airport to the neighboring provinces.

Price: VND 7,000 and VND 10,000 respectively at the lower and upper half-way

As for Shuttle Bus 49, it differs from others in a much shorter travel time. Instead of stops at bus stations, it goes directly from Tan Son Nhat Airport to the planned points in central Saigon. It passes therefore through the known hotels of the city and particularly two frequented tourist spots of Ho Chi Minh City, the Cathedral of Notre Dame and the Opera of Saigon.
