Location of Hoi An
Located in the coastal Quang Nam province, Hoi An is 30 kilometers away from Da Nang City, 797 kilometers from Hanoi and 849 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City.
Types of transport to Hoi An from Hanoi, Saigon and other cities
Hoi An is accessible from many cities and regions by three types of transport: bus, train and plane.
Please remember that while the journey to Hoi An by bus can be done directly from Hanoi and Saigon, this is not the case for trains or planes because of the locations of the railway and airport.
Saigon / Hanoi to Da Nang flights
Hoi An does not have an airport so you will have to fly to Da Nang and then reach Hoi An by bus or taxi, about 30 km distance.
The flight from Hanoi to Da Nang and vice versa is offered by four national airlines, Vietnam Airlines, VietJet Air, Jetstar Pacific and the newest Bamboo Airways.

Bus Da Nang - Hoi An
Bus 01 is the unique public bus connecting Da Nang Central Bus Station to Hoi An Central Bus Station.
This is a really economical option but will take longer than the other options. Note that it makes a stop at Ngu Hanh Son, the Marble Mountains which is a spot of interest to visit for an hour or two.

- Take the RN 1 south via Vinh Dien for about 10 km to reach Hoi An. You can visit the Bang An Cham Tower along the way.

Amongst three stations serving Hoi An, Da Nang station is about 30 km from Hoi An and is the most used. The remains of Quang Nam, Tam Ky and Tra Kieu Railway Station are 50 and 25 km from Hoi An respectively.
