    General about Independence Palace

    The Independence Palace also has two other names: the Reunification Palace and the Unification Hall, formerly the residence and workplace of the President of the Republic of Vietnam. In 2009, it was officially ranked as one of the first 10 special national monuments of the country.
    The palace was built on the design of architect Ngo Viet Thu including 3 main floors, 1 terrace, 2 mezzanines, 2 basements and a terrace for helicopters to land on. There are more than 100 rooms with different décor depending on the purpose of use such as the opening rooms, the Cabinet meeting room, the big room, the National Assembly room, the entertainment room, the movie room, the gallery room. , ...

    Opening hours and ticket prices Independence Palace

    Opening hours of the Palace: historical monument of Independence Palace opens to sell tickets for tourists to visit every day (including weekends and holidays)
    Morning: 7:30 - 11:00
    Afternoon: 13:00 - 16:00
    Ticket price to the Independence Palace:
    Adults: VND 40,000 / person / time
    Student: 20,000 VND / 1 person / 1 time
    Students (6 years to 17 years): 10,000 VND / 1 person / 1 time

    What does it have in the Independence Palace?

    In the Palace, it is divided into 3 main display areas, namely fixed areas, showroom and exhibition area and additional areas.
    1. Fixed area
    This includes the a guest-chamber, the internal room, the national security council room, the office of the president, the office of the vice president of the Republic of Vietnam, the defense bureau, the bedroom of the presidential family, the living area, cinema room, entertainment room, dormitory room, tactical staff room, communication room, kitchen, the showroom for the jeep, F5E aircraft, 390 tank , tank 843 witnessed the moment the country was liberated. The living relics are preserved until now so that the next generation can see with their own eyes, observe and understand the war better.

    2. Showroom and exhibition area
    A gallery of topics such as "From the Paris Peace Accords to the Ho Chi Minh campaign through reserve documents", "Ho Chi Minh Path via Saigon government documents" or photo exhibitions like " Vietnam - Victory song ". Visitors can’t only look back at the vivid images of the previous period but also know more about the history hidden in it that was never written by any newspaper.

    3. Additional area
    It is the image display area found and collected later. The photos were kept by the people from the time of resistance until independence and sent to the monument to preserve and pass on to the descendants of the next generation.The previous generations looked back at their magnanimous period and the following generations could feel the fierce resistance and the joy of victory that they had won in an effort to contribute and protect the Fatherland in peace.
    In addition to visiting the main area, visitors can stroll outside the Palace with green lawns and view the Palace from many angles.

    Attention when visiting the Independence Palace

    Independence Palace dress code: Your costume should be clean-lembed and polite. The dangerous objects such as small knives or scissors and large luggage are not allowed. Especially please do not walk on the grass or touch displays around the palace.

    Other notices:

    Food and drink from outside are not allowed

    No pets allowed

    The security has the right to interrupt your visit if needed

    You are responsible for any damage you make on the display
