    Mui Ne is a district of Phan Thiet seaside town, Binh Thuan Province. With the distance of nearly 200 kilometres, the road connecting Ho Chi Minh City (former Saigon) and Mui Ne can go by three ways: bus, train and motorcycle.

    Bus Ho Chi Minh City - Mui Ne

    With a range of choices, you can go to Phan Thiet or directly to Mui Ne from Saigon at any time of the day with Open Tour buses and other buses offering the same level of comfort (bottle of water, free wifi, television...).

    Train Ho Chi Minh City - Mui Ne

    Distance: 185km
    Duration: 3h45 - 4h
    Number of train: 8 trains/day

    Departing from Saigon, the train stops at Phan Thiet city where you will need another trip from there to Mui Ne.

    There are three trains connecting Saigon and Phan Thiet:

    + Train North - South Thong Nhat or Reunification Train (SE), arriving at Binh Thuan Station, taking about 4 hours.
    + VIP Train or Golden Train (SPT2), arriving at Binh Thuan Station, taking around 4 hours with comfortable conditions.
    + Local Train Saigon - Phan Thiet, arriving at Phan Thiet station, slower than the first two, usually poor service but is cheap.

    For a quick and pleasant trip, the best train is probably the SPT2 train.

    From Saigon to Mui Ne on a motorbike

    Two practical roads:

    + Option 1: Ho Chi Minh City - Binh Lau - La Gi - Cape Ke Ga - Binh Thuan - Phan Thiet (242km), this trip is for adventure enthusiasts. Fill up with fuel because gas stations are rare.

    + Option 2: Ho Chi Minh City via RN 1A - Binh Thuan - Suoi Cat Junction - Phan Thiet City - County Road 706 - Mui Ne (209km). This road is well practicable because the stations and repair services are more available.
