  • Ninh Binh has charming scenery with limestone mountain ranges, rice fields, temples, pagodas and caves. Visitors can visit Ninh Binh at any time of the year. However, there will be some notes for you to choose the time that suits you best.

    Ninh Binh is in the northern Vietnam, not far from Hanoi so it has a tropical monsoon climate. It is divided into four seasons in one year:
    Spring is from February to April
    Summer is from May to July.
    Autumn is from August to October.
    Winter is from November to January next year.

    Winter is cold, wet and cloudy. Sometimes, it is foggy. Low temperature from 13 – 18 degrees Celsius. However, during this season, there are not many domestic tourists, visit Ninh Binh during this period will bring a natural beauty and tranquility.

    In spring, it is less cold, small rains. It is the time for trees with flowers and new leaves. This is a good time to visit Ninh Binh. However, During the Traditional New Year, there are more domestic tourists and it should be avoided to visit Ninh Binh about 10 days after Lunar New Year. ( around February).

    The summer is more raining, hot and the temperature is from 33 – 39 degree Celsius.  Full of sunshine.
    The Spring is getting cooler, blue sky. For those who are interested in photography. It is the great time to visit Ninh Binh.

    You would enjoy a boat trip along the river surrounded by yellow ripe rice field and mountain ranges, you should go to Ninh Binh in May to July and Sept to October.

    Do you like Lotus? This flower is chosen as the Vietnam National flower. There are a lot of lotus in Ninh Binh. To enjoy the beauty of Lotus flowers rising from the water and enjoy the scent of the flowers you should visit Tam Coc, Thung Nang every June.
    So, If you can choose to travel to Ninh Binh during February to June and from September to November, it would be a nice time.

    In General, in March, it is cool, pleasant, less domestic tourists, this is over the rice harvest season so the scenery is covered by a green color spreading in the surface of rice field in Ninh Binh, among the rivers and limestone mountains ranges.

    If you are interested in photography, you can travel in autumn, during September and October. The weather is still a little hot but the sky is clear, and in the period of golden rice. The boat will load full of rice and farmer working on the rice field, all will make outstanding photos about Ninh Binh.
